Editorial stance
What this site is for, what it will not do, and how it pays for itself. Short on purpose, so you can hold us to it.
What we believe
Evidence first, tradition acknowledged
We rate what the research shows and say plainly when it is thin. A long history of use is worth reporting; it is not proof.
Nothing to sell you
No products, no affiliate links, no sponsored rankings. If an ingredient tops a table, it is because the evidence put it there.
A complement, not a replacement
Natural approaches sit alongside conventional care. We never suggest replacing a prescribed treatment.
Safety is not a footnote
Interactions and who-should-avoid appear next to every ingredient, not buried at the bottom of the page.
Plain language, quotable answers
Every page opens with a direct answer you could read aloud to a pharmacist.
How the site is funded
Healthy and Herbal carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content, and nobody pays to appear in a table or ranking. We don't sell products and we don't accept free ones.
If we ever add advertising to cover running costs, these rules come with it and we'll say so on this page first: advertisers won't choose which pages they appear on or see anything before it's published; ads will be labelled and kept out of comparison tables, interaction results and safety content; and nothing will be styled to look like editorial.
What we will not do
- Recommend a brand, product, or retailer.
- Rank an ingredient higher than its evidence supports, however popular it is.
- Hide thin evidence behind confident language.
- Tell you to stop or start a prescription medication.
- Present a page as clinically reviewed when it isn't. Pages still waiting for a pharmacist or clinician say so at the top.
